Engine & Capabilities
The Wrangler offers an engine lineup that is nothing short of impressive for the 2019 model year! There are two engine options available for the 2019 model year. The first engine you will find underneath the hood is the Pentastar so widely loved throughout the Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram family. This 3.6-liter V6 engine generates 260 pound-feet of torque and 285 horsepower, offering a broad torque band. The second engine available is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that deploys 295 pound-feet of torque and 270 horsepower. This engine is also outfitted with eTorque technology.
The Wrangler takes off-roading to new levels with incredible capabilities. These capabilities include best-in-class approach, breakover, and departure angles and a 10.9-inch ground clearance to help you navigate the trickiest terrain! Sport and Sahara models are outfitted with the Command-Trac part-time 4x4 system, next-generation Dana front and rear axles, and a low range gear ratio of 2.72:1. Plus, they also can be equipped with the available Trac-Lok limited-slip rear differential for additional torque and extra grip when traversing through low-traction environments. The Rubicon model is outfitted with even more rugged off-roading features. These features include the Rock-Trac 4x4 system, Dana front and rear heavy-duty axles, enhanced off-road rock rails, a low-range gear ratio of 4.0:1 and two-speed transfer case. As well as 33-inch Goodrich all-terrain tires, electronic front and rear locking differentials, a disconnecting front sway bar, and so much more!
Design & Features
The design of the Wrangler is iconic! One of the stand out features for the 2019 Wrangler (available on the Sahara and Rubicon models) is the Sky One-Touch powertop. This powertop can open the Wrangler to the open-air freedom that Jeeps are known for, it can be opened with just a push of a button and can be used at up to speeds of 60 miles per hour! The 2019 Wrangler models are created with lightweight and high-strength aluminum in many parts of the body including windshield frame, doors, fenders, hood, and hinges (the swing gate is created with magnesium) this helps boost the SUVs fuel economy and reduce the weight!
The 2019 Wrangler holds on to all the signature features that the Wrangler is known for! They include the trapezoidal wheel flares, iconic round headlamps, removable doors, and the seven-slot keystone grille! The exposed hinges are stamped with the Torx tool-bit size so you never have to guess and enjoying the open ait freedom is so much easier! Other features you will find in the 2019 model year include the fourth-generation Uconnect infotainment system that is offered on either a 7-inch or 8.4-inch touchscreen interface -- both offer pinch-and-zoon capabilities (the Sport model comes with a 5-inch touchscreen)! This infotainment system also features Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration. There are also standard safety features for the 2019 and they include brake traction control, Hill-start Assist, trailer-sway control, electronic roll mitigation, and electronic stability control and so many more!
