Another engine option for the 2019 Durango is a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 that creates 360 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque. This V8 engine comes outfitted with cylinder-deactivation for better fuel economy and use of power. This engine also boasts a best-in-class towing capacity at 7,400 pounds. The standard engine for the 2019 Durango is the award-winning Pentastar. This 3.6-liter V6 boasts a 293 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque. This V6 engine also offers a best-in-class towing capacity of 6,200 pounds! This engine is equipped with start/stop technology for increased fuel economy and lower emissions. All of these engines come mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with available steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters and driver-oriented electronic shifter.

The SRT model is outfitted with all-wheel drive as standard. The Durango's traction and handling are enhanced with a total of three available all-wheel drive systems. Models outfitted with the Hemi engines are also equipped with a low-range transfer case with a neutral position. This improved configuration helps ease maneuvers and light off-roading performance. The neutral position also lets the vehicle tow-flat without damaging powertrain components.

There are some incredible technology features found in the 2019 Durango! There are two touchscreen sizes available -- a 7-inch or 8.4-inch. The 8.4-inch touchscreen is the largest in the class! Families that regularly seat kids in the third row will love the second-row captain's chairs because they make it incredibly easy to access that back row with a pass-through aisle. The second-row bench is created with a 60/40 split so you can fold it down easily for bigger cargo items. Plus, passengers sitting in that second row will enjoy the 18-degree recline feature for optimum comfort! The third-row seat is created with a 50/50 split. They can also be folded easily for additional cargo room. Both the second and third-row seats fold down for a flat fold floor so you can pack in the cargo!
