Every 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK features Pentastar's award-winning 3.6-liter V6 engine. This engine provides 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, and achieves a fuel economy of up to 21 miles per gallon on the highway (18 combined). Powertrain customization options come in the form of transmission and 4x4 systems. Buyers can choose between a six-speed manual transmission and a five-speed automatic with hill start assist and hill descent control. They also have the choice of several four-wheel-drive systems, including Jeep's signature Command-Trac and Rock-Trac 4x4 systems. Other off-road-friendly drivetrain components include available Dana 44 front and rear axles with electronically locking differentials, as well as an automatically disconnecting sway bar.
