The Grand Cherokee lineup offers five powerful and capable engine options. All five of the engines come mated to an automatic eight-speed transmission. The first three engines can be found underneath the hood of the Laredo, Limited, Trailhawk, Overland, and Summit models. The standard engine is the Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 that outputs 295 horsepower. You'll also find a 360 horsepower 5.7-liter V8 or a 240 horsepower 3.0-liter diesel V6 underneath the hood of these models. The SRT trim level utilizes the capabilities from the 475 horsepower 6.4-liter V8 engine to screech from zero-to-sixty in just under five seconds! The brand new Trackhawk model sails from zero-to-sixty mph in just 3.5 seconds with a 707 horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter V8! Does that engine sound familiar? It should because it's the same engine underneath the hood of the Dodge Charger and Challenger Hellcat models! V6 engines are outfitted with standard rear-wheel drive while four-wheel drive is available. V8 engines are outfitted with four-wheel drive as standard. The Grand Cherokee offers a maximum towing capacity of 7,400 pounds!

2018 Toyota Highlander Power & Handling

The 2018 Toyota Highlander lineup offers just two engine options for the new model year. First up is the standard 2.7-liter 4-cylinder engine that creates 185 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. Toyota mates this engine with an automatic six-speed transmission. You can opt for the available 3.5-liter V6 engine that generates 295 horsepower and 263 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard on both engines but you can opt for all-wheel drive on just the V6 engine. The engine power behind the Highlander is severely lacking compared to the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The Highlander is offered in six trim levels for the 2018 model year.
