2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee vs 2018 Honda Pilot near Ocean City, NJ

There are so many fantastic SUVs on the market, it can be really hard to narrow it done to which model will meet all your wants and needs. That's why we have created this comparison review! We believe that there are two models that stand out among the rest: the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the 2018 Honda Pilot. The Grand Cherokee is the flagship Jeep that offers an incredible trim level and engine lineup and off-roading capabilities! New updates for the 2018 model year include the addition of the brand new Trackhawk model and other infotainment improvements. The Honda Pilot is great for larger families, offering three rows of seating, and is created with impressive style both inside and out. Sadly there are no changes to the Pilot for the 2018 model year.

2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Power & Handling

Jeep has created an incredible engine lineup for the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee! The standard engine is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 that creates 295 horsepower. This engine can achieve up to 26 mpg on the highway with 2WD! Other engine options include a 3.0-liter diesel V6 that outputs 240 horsepower and a 5.7-liter V8 that generates 360 horsepower. The performance SRT model is powered by a 6.4-liter V8 that outputs 475 horsepower. The brand new Trackhawk model has a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that produces an incredible 707 horsepower! All engine options are matched with a smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission. When it comes to towing the Grand Cherokee maxes out a 7,400 pounds when properly equipped. You also have three 4x4 systems options depending on the trim level for the best off-roading experiences!

2018 Honda Pilot Power & Handling

There is only one engine option for all 2018 Honda Pilot models. This 3.5-liter V6 produces 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. Depending on the trim level there are two transmission options: a six-speed or nine-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard but all-wheel drive is offered on all models. Standard on all but the LX models is a traction-management system that enhances the AWD system. When it comes to fuel economy, with the six-speed transmission and front-wheel drive, this engine can get up to 27 mpg on the highway.

2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Features & Design

With a total of seven, there is a Grand Cherokee trim level for every type of driver, whether you luxurious comfort, love off-roading or have a need for speed! Standard features include two USB ports, a rearview camera, 17-inch wheels, heated mirrors, a six-speaker sound system, rear parking sensors, Bluetooth, automatic climate control, satellite radio, a 7-inch touchscreen, and keyless entry and ignition. AS you move up through the trim levels you'll gain features like trim-specific interior styling, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, xenon headlights, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, active noise-canceling technology, a towing package, extended leather upholstery, and so much more!

2018 Honda Pilot Features & Design

The Pilot only offers five trim levels for the 2018 model year. Standard features include Bluetooth, a rearview camera, a 5-inch central display screen, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, 18-inch alloy wheels, third-row seat with 60/40 split folding, and a seven-speaker sound system. For more advanced features you have no choice but to upgrade to a higher trim level. Conclusions

Unless you are in desperate need for a third row there is no way that the Honda Pilot can compete with the Jeep Grand Cherokee. There are so many more impressive trim levels that appeal to different types of drivers and that engine lineup just can't be beaten! Want to learn even more about the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
