2018 marks the first full production year of the all-new, redesigned Jeep Compass! There's one small change for the 2018 Jeep Compass: Limited models may now be outfitted with a 4x2 driveline configuration! With the Jeep Compass's remodel, this compact SUV gains best-in-class 4x4 off-road capability, remarkable on-road driving dynamics, sculptural styling that mirrors that of other Jeep models such as the Grand Cherokee, and a variety of fuel-efficient powertrains.

What powertrain options are available for the 2018 Jeep Compass?

Every Jeep Compass shares the same powerful engine under the hood: a 2.4-liter Tigershark I-4! This engine naturally aspirates 180 horsepower and drives 175 pound-feet of torque to its front or all four wheels. There are three available transmission options for the 2018 Jeep Compass. Transmission options start off with a class-exclusive nine-speed automatic available on 4x4 models. Alternatively, 4x2 models may be outfitted with a six-speed automatic transmission. Both 4x4 and 4x2 models can also come equipped with a six-speed manual transmission. There are also two available 4x4 systems: Jeep Active Drive and Jeep Active Drive Low. Jeep Active Drive can be found on all but the Trailhawk trim level; this is a full-time 4x4 system with four selectable drive modes via Jeep's Selec-Terrain system: Auto, Snow, Mud, and Sand. Jeep Active Drive Low is a Trailhawk-exclusive 4x4 system that offers a class-exclusive 20:1 crawl ratio and an extra Rock drive mode on the Selec-Terrain system. This system encourages the best four-wheel-drive performance, both on and off pavement and in any weather, of any vehicle in the Compass's class. Trailhawk models feature Selec-Speed Control complete with Hill-descent Control. For improved fuel economy, every 4x4 Compass is equipped with a disconnecting rear axle and power take-off unit.

What trim levels and features are available for the 2018 Jeep Compass?

The 2018 Jeep Compass is offered in four trim levels: Sport, Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk. Sport models have highlight features such as a 5-inch touchscreen Uconnect, a six-speaker sound system, Bluetooth connectivity, and a USB port. Latitude models offer keyless entry and ignition, upgraded cloth and simulated leather seat upholstery, and a leather-trimmed steering wheel. Limited models are equipped with an upgraded driver information display, heated front seats, an 8.4-inch Uconnect, upgraded exterior trim, 18-inch wheels, leather upholstery, a power driver seat, and automatic dual-zone climate control. Trailhawk models offer 17-inch wheels with off-road-oriented tires, a raised suspension, a unique front fascia for improved approach and breakover angles, tow hooks, and underbody skid plates.
