The 2018 Dodge Challenger is taking the lead as the first-ever factory-production car to have an SRT Power Chiller system and as the first two-door American muscle car with all-wheel drive, as seen in the GT model. The SRT Demon is a new trim added to the 2018 Dodge Challenger line up. This model blows the others away with its engine reaching a horsepower of 840 in comparison to the previous fastest Challenger, the SRT Hellcat at 707 horsepower. In 2018 the Hellcat model receives its own upgrade with the addition of a new grille, Demonic Red Laguna seating, and illuminated Air-Catcher headlamps that showcase the Hellcat logo.

What engines are available for the 2018 Dodge Challenger?

Every 2018 Dodge Challenger has the option of choosing either a 6-speed manual transmission or the standard 8-speed automatic transmission. The 3.6-liter V6 has 305 horsepower and 268 lb-ft of torque with the leading fuel economy at 30 mpg. This engine is available in the SXT and GT models. The 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine is available in the R/T and T/A models and can reach a horsepower of 372 and a torque of 400. The 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine is available in the R/T Scat Pack, 392 Hemi Scat Pack Shaker, T/A 392, and SRT 392 models with 485 horsepower. A 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8 engine is available in the SRT Hellcat and the SRT Demon with different effects. The Hellcat reaches 707 horsepower with 650 lb-ft of torque and the Demon reaches 840 horsepower with 770 lb-ft of torque.

What are the different models and their features?

There are seven original trim levels for the 2018 Dodge Challenger. The model line up begins with the SXT all the way up to the SRT Demon. The SXT trim includes 18-inch wheels, heated mirrors, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and much more. Tech features that come standard with this model include Bluetooth, two USB ports, and even a 7-inch touchscreen. The R/T model adds to the SXT's standard features by including upgraded brakes, an active sport exhaust, and 20-inch wheels. Variants can be added to the SXT, GT, R/T, R/T 392, and SRT 392 models. These variants are the Plus, R/T, T/A, R/T Scat Pack, and the R/T Shaker. The previous top of the model line up, the SRT Hellcat Widebody model adds onto the original SRT Hellcat by accommodating for wider tires through the addition of Demon-based fender flares. The new SRT Demon makes a great new addition to the line up by being the most powerful muscle car in history through its numerous specialized equipment. The Demon comes standard with just a driver's seat, but the front passenger seat and rear seats are still an option to be added back in.

There are over 70 safety and security features available for the 2018 Charger. The Department of Transportation has given the 2018 Dodge Charger a 5-star crash test rating.
