There is even an option to shut down cylinders for light loads in order to save fuel. The trucks are heavy enough so that they’re not rated by the EPA and the engine comes hooked to an 8-speed automatic transmission. This puts the power and the torque to better use than the older 6-speed transmission in the older models.
Handling
The lineup’s suspension varies, but there are coil springs which are tied to a solid axle in each 2500, and it clobbers expansion joints with grace and ease. This is great for a massive and powerful truck like the RAM 2500.
The rear air suspension available is to help level loads and make the hooking up of the trailer much easier. It can be loaded up with nearly 14,900 pounds. Comfort and Quality
The RAM duty pick up is one truck that you won’t find lacking in comfort. It already looks like a beast, but it will also cradle you like a baby within its belly. The 2019 RAM 2500 earns great points for comfortable seats and has a very spacious interior.
It also has a deployable bed step which is mounted under the rear of the truck. It swings down and out, but it’s not nearly as useful as the ones found in other similar models. However, it’s still a welcome addition.
