2019 Ram 1500 Multifunction Tailgate
For accessing the copious cargo space the Ram 1500 offers an available multifunction tailgate. In addition to lowering in the traditional manner this tailgate has been re-engineered with 60/40 split swing away doors. These doors open 88 degrees to allow easier access for loading, unloading and cleaning the cargo area. These doors also allow for forklift loading. The tailgate has the capacity to hold up to 2,000 pounds.
2019 Ram 1500 Additional Storage Features
The Ram 1500 has an available RamBox Cargo Management System to allow plenty of space for additional cargo. The RamBox Cargo Management System is comprised of two lockable drainable storage bins that feature LED lighting as well as a 115-volt power outlet. Accessing the RamBox System is made easier using the key fob for remote access. Inside the Ram 1500 the center console has enough room to hold a 15-inch laptop as well as a bin to hold file folders. Underneath the rear bench seats is adjustable under seat storage compartments that can hold up to 40 liters. Also available are in-floor storage bins for increased storage capacity.
2019 Ram 1500 Safety and Security
The 2019 Ram 1500 has over 100 standard and available safety and security features. Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path and Trailer Detection automatically senses and accounts for the length of the trailer while scanning blind spot zones behind the truck to help drivers safely maneuver in traffic while towing. Available LaneSense Lane Departure Warning-Plus helps drivers avoid unintentionally drifting into neighboring lanes of traffic. Available Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go technology in conjunction with available Forward Collision Warning with Advanced Brake Assist helps drivers avoid accidents caused by following too closely. Available Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist automatically controls steering while guiding drivers to accelerate or brake appropriately when parking. An available 360 degree Surround View Camera assists drivers with things like hooking up a trailer, loading, unloading and parking by providing pictures of the truck’s surroundings. The new Ram 1500 is equipped with 14.9-inch brakes to stop the truck in shorter distances.
2019 Ram 1500 UConnect 12.0 with Navigation
The largest in-class 12-inch touchscreen is one of the features of the available UConnect 12.0 with Navigation. The system features a customizable home screen with split screen capability as well as pinch-and-zoom technology and physical controls to allow easy accessibility to main features. This system features full-screen navigation to help drivers stay on course without getting lost. Connecting to entertainment is achieved with Sirius XM Satellite Radio with 360L capabilities to provide drivers with hours of on-demand content and enhanced usability.
